Organisations don’t transform, people do ”
Richard Barrett
Research has shown that employees choose to offer or

withhold approximately 41% of their discretionary energy
to their employer (Barrett Values Centre), depending on
how well-engaged they feel with their organisation, its
purpose, its vision and its values.
Furthermore, Hewitt research on the 100 best and worst
companies to work for, analysed values as a key
determinant of employee well-being.

We believe a thriving values-driven organisational culture is fundamental to driving sustainable success.
Primeast has been working with organisations globally,
LEADING WITH PURPOSE AND VALUES
helping them to align organisational purpose and values
resulting in significant improvement in performance and
efficiency.
We developed the PrimeFocus TM framework which
underpins our consulting and leadership development
work. The model can be used to inform initial
conversations regarding organisational alignment which
can then be used to prompt and identify areas for
investment and focus. You can take our initial
PrimeFocus TM assessment as a starting point for
discussions with your teams.
The CTT framework is just one of the tools we might
employ to support organisations where it has been
recognised that there is a specific need for cultural
alignment, or development of values-based leadership.

WHAT IS CTT
The Cultural Transformation Tool (CTT®) framework, also
known as Personal Values Assessment, measures the
personal values of employees, their perception of the current
culture values and their desired values for the organisation’s
future success. It provides exactly the kind of measurement
organisations need to find out how well their employees are
engaged and aligned. In addition, it provides clear indications
of the priorities for change that employees see.
Furthermore, Hewitt research on the 100 best and worst
companies to work for, analysed values as a key determinant
of employee well-being.

“ Culture is the way things get done around here ”
The Cultural Transformation Tools (CTT) ® framework
SEVEN LEVELS OF ASSESSMENT
prioritises the areas that are important to employees in
terms of culture, engagement and future success. The tool
is effective in supporting transformational change within
organisations. This is achieved by comparing current
culture values with the aspirations and purpose of an
organisation.

BEYOND MASLOW
The conceptual thinking behind the 7 Levels model is
based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.
Levels 1-3 correspond to Maslow’s hierarchy, and are
applied to individuals and organisations. They relate to the
organisation’s survival and operating capability.
Level 4 is a transitional stage which illustrates that the
organisation is looking beyond its day-to-day activities and
beginning a change journey.
Levels 5-7 provide a framework of higher-level values. It is in these
levels that employees feel a strong sense of engagement, loyalty,
teamwork and community.
Employees operating at this level will engage and willingly give their
discretionary energy through levels 5-7.

Working with Primeast to deliver the CTT® framework
APPLYING THE BARRETT VALUES MODEL
ensures that all employees get the appropriate support and
guidance throughout the process. This includes coaching
and follow-up sessions, helping to align personal values
with those of the organisation for a more cohesive
approach.
Primeast accredited Barrett Values coaches are
experienced in the implementation of the Cultural
Transformation Tools (CTT ®) – a diagnostics and
evaluation model – ensuring ‘stickability’ and long term
sustainable behaviour change. This results in greater
impact and return on investment with regards to ongoing
organisation development, with a clear focus on the future.

ABOUT PRIMEAST

www.primeast.com T:+44 (0) 1423 531083 (EMEA) | + 1 609 6428821 (USA)
When training focuses on function and delivery in isolation, it becomes transactional, and typically results in a return to default behaviours. Our approach is rooted in experiential development and the application of learning back in the workplace. Our facilitators understand the specific organisational challenges of our clients, and proactively manage the learning experience to ensure participants apply their learning directly. As a result, participants and clients report long-term impact, genuine behaviour change and significant, measurable outcomes. From the outset, we listen, engage and align ourselves with your organisation, so that we are able to actively manage the learning transfer at the point of delivery. Our associates and consultants are highly skilled, industry-experienced and accredited in a range of evidence-based leadership development tools and methods.
